After Care and Support

Our support does not end when you have chosen your Nanny...... we are not going anywhere!

Kids Deserve the Best not only provide families with support throughout the process of sourcing the best childcare to suit their needs, but the support will also continue after the Nanny has started working with you.

Good, clear communication and working together for the best interests of the children is what will make your Nanny placement a successful one. We recommend that once your Nanny has been working with you for four weeks, that you have a proper sit down chat between parent and nanny to review progress on both sides - this is an opportunity for both family and nanny to listen to each other and see how things are going, are we happy, does anything need to be done differently, are there any issues we need to address, is the contract in place and is payroll organised. If anything needs to change, put a plan in place to deal with this and review again in 3 months time.

Kids Deserve the Best will make contact with both the family and the nanny after the first four to six weeks to see how things are progressing and to offer any further assistance if required.

If all is well we will leave you in peace to enjoy the support of your nanny.

If at any time in the future you need guidance on a particular issue please contact us on 0191 2507025 and we will provide support as you require.

What if it goes wrong?

We advise that the first four weeks of the employment to be on a probationary 'settling in' basis, during which either party can end the employment if it is not working by giving one weeks notice. At the end of the first four weeks we advise that both you and your nanny have a sit down review and find out how each other feels things are progressing, discussing what is working well and what could be improved.

If the nanny leaves you within the first four months, (this covers your settling in month and the following three months) help and support will be provided to help you find a replacement at no extra cost. This applies if the nanny leaves you, not if you change the details of the job.

If the nanny leaves after four months, help and support will be provided to help you find a replacement and you will be invoiced a half placement fee.

Good, clear and consistent communication between both parties is what will make your nanny placement successful.
