Urgently required. Nanny (early mornings) (Ref: KDTB:NE:CB) - Sunderland (SR4)

Closing date: 30 Apr 2019

A superhero nanny is required to provide care for a family in Sunderland who have one child aged 4 years. The requirement is to support dad with the care of his child to enable dad to go to work.

Dad works shifts and the requirements which are required as soon as possible are:

Monday through to Friday working from 5.30am until 12pm when the nanny will need to drop the child off at school. There may be more hours required during school holidays to fit around dads working pattern.

From January 2020 the hours are likely to change if dads work shifts move onto an alternative weekly rota basis. An example of hours required will then be either: 5.30am-12pm; 7am-12pm or 3pm-5.30pm. There will be a guaranteed number of hours per week, however flexibility is required to ensure consistency, continuinty and stability for the child.

The role will involve:

  • Attending to the daily needs of the child, ensuring his care, welfare and happiness needs are met
  • Morning routines in terms of getting up, breakfast, dressed and ready for school
  • Planning the morning of care and interaction whilst ensuring everything is prepared for school
  • Clearing away breakfast things and preparing a light snack
  • Taking to school on time

From January 2020:

  • School pickup may be required depending on dads shifts
  • Preparing a healthy meal
  • Play and interaction
  • Supporting with reading and homework

The family are needing someone who can adopt a nurturing and positive parenting approach to ensure stability, reliability and continuity within the home.
