Wedding Day & Event Childcare

To invite children or not is often a question facing many brides and grooms planning their special day. We all know children can be unruly, get bored easily and get tired. Stress is reduced considerably by bringing in a childcare service – someone to keep the children occupied leaving the adults to enjoy the day, with the children still being around to share the special moment.

This service is particularly useful during the ceremony itself, during the meal, speeches and during the evening to keep with some kind of bedtime routine. Cover can be provided within the wedding venue during the day and/or evening or in the family home if the wedding is a strictly No Children Zone.

The Childcare Service includes providing care and supervision of the children, by quality trained childcarers who work in childcare (either Nannies, Nursery Workers or teachers) as their day to day job. We would send along a selection of books, games and puzzles for the children and the childcarers would arrange some party games and imaginative play for the children with music. This service also covers quiet time for when the children become restless and evening babysitting should the younger children become weary and need to stick to a bedtime routine, leaving your guests free to enjoy their evening too.

As every venue is different in the facilities available, we would advise that a few of the children’s favourite books or toys are brought along, together with sleeping bags or cushions to create a familiar calming setting.

Party Craft Bags can be supplied for the children if required, there is an additional cost for the crafts and these would be tailored to suit the number and ages of the children, and will also include a special momento for each child to create and to take away with them at the end of the day.

Care can be provided during the day or evening, even past midnight if that is what you need. The more notice you can give the better. Care can be provided within the venues of the North East or within the home of the family if the children are not attending the wedding or event.

The amount of childcarers needed will depend on the exact ages and numbers of children. The younger the child - the bigger the points value. One childcarer can look after a certain number of points.
