Nanny / Mother's Help needed asap for minimum of 30 hours a week (JJR) - North Shields (NE30)

Closing date: 31 Oct 2017

A lovely family in North Shields are looking for an extra pair of hands to help them with their family of 4 children aged almost 6 years, 3 years and twins aged 9 months. The twins were born 11 weeks prematurely.

Initially the position will involve being an extra pair of hands whilst mum is on maternity leave, Once mum returns to work in December the position will become that of sole charge care.

Duties will include:

  • attending to the daily needs of the children
  • the planning of activities for the children, to encourage stimulation, variation as well as fun learning and development
  • school and nursery runs for the oldest children
  • planning and preparing of healthy meals
  • preparation for bath and bedtime
  • children's laundry (including cloth nappies)
  • keeping the children's bedrooms clean and tidy
  • Common sense tasks around the home such as emptying the dishwasher/washing machine etc

Given the nature of the parent's work, flexibility is essential. They are able to offer a minimum of 30 hours a week on average. Some hours will be needed during weekends, late evenings and possibly overnight - depending on parent's work schedule. This would suit someone who does not have another nanny job to fit in.

A driver is preferred, but not essential. Position to start as soon as possible.

The family are looking for someone with a positive, bright manner, someone with a calm, softer and motherly nature, someone with a proactive approach to working within a family environment. Common sense, great organisation abilities and a great level of energy, imagination and interaction to keep the children occupied would be most helpful for this family.
