** change of hours ** Nanny required (min 28 hours per week) (MK) - North Shields (NE29)

Closing date: 29 Sep 2017

*Updated Information*

A Nanny is required for a family in North Shields to provide care and support for two children, aged 3 years and 12 months old. The family are expecting their third child who will be due around November 2017.

The family are able to guarantee a minimum of 28-30 hours a week, however there may be more hours available to fit around the parent's work schedule and when new baby arrives.

The hours requested are:

  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 3.15pm-9.15pm
  • Sunday from 5.00pm-9.00pm

The starting rate is £8.50 per hour (gross) and this will be reviewed after 3 months.

The duties will involve:

  • Attending to the daily needs of both of the children
  • Preparation of things for the baby
  • Collecting the oldest children from school/nursery and taking to the family home (on foot if it is a nice day to encourage being out in the fresh air and excercise
  • Play, interaction and activities
  • Ensuring a healthy meal with a good tea time routine
  • Bath and bedtime routines
  • Preparation of things needed for the next day and general light household duties once the children have gone to bed

Flexibility is essential as due to the nature of the parents business, they work long hours and extra cover may be needed, sometimes at very short notice and likely on a weekend, this depends on the work schedule of the business. As much notice as possible will be given of additional hours.

This would suit someone who is bubbly, fun and energetic, someone who has lots of creative and imaginative ideas for entertaining babies, someone who can cook a variety of healthy meals.

The family would like someone who has lots of knowledge and experience in caring for small babies, and must have a valid paediatric first aid certificate and current DBS check. A driver with clean driving licence and own transport is essential.

Position to commence as soon as possible.

(Trust, flexibility, stability, reliability and committment are all essential elements the family will expect from their Nanny as well as good common sense. The parents run a successful business and look after the staff they employ within this business. They have a good work ethic and they appreciate good workers. They are looking for someone who will be able to fit with the family and be with them long term as the family hope to extend their family further)
