A note from Kelly who has fabulous ideas on making these fairs a regular event for the people of the North East.
"The idea for 'The Rockabuy Baby Fair' came about after I moved to the North East in September 2010. I struggled to find out about classes or playgroups where I could take my daughter and meet new people.
One year later with my feet slightly more under the table and after talking to friends and family 'The Rockabuy Baby Fair' was born.
My vision was to create a Mother and Baby Fair where local businesses could promote themselves to the local community, as well as mums or mums-to-be coming along to find out about services and classes available in the area, as well as having the opportunity to find some fab products too! I also wanted to offer mums the opportunity to sell their pre loved items or come along and grab a bargain.
I didn't realise how many great businesses there were in my area until I started contacting people to attend the fair. I can't wait for people to show up on the day and meet the people who have signed up.
I have really enjoyed the organisation of the fair and I am really looking forward to the 26th February when the first 'The Rockabuy Baby Fair' will take place at Holy Saviours Parish Hall, Manor Road, Tynemouth.
