Who Stole my December?
Posted on 21 December 2011
After a very busy December, I am no longer feeling like Scrooge of the Street. I have a brightly lit tree, with of course purple tinsel and a new shiny bauble, Santa is sitting on the windowsill, next to his reindeer companion, and the collection of Christmas gifts for loved ones is certainly appearing ready for wrapping.
Everywhere around us we see people busy bustling around, trying to get organised not wanting to miss out on that fabulous bargain or wonderful gift for their someone special. Many are counting the days, or even hours before they have quality time off work, time to eat, drink and generally be merry.
I know Christmas is different for everyone, especially for those who cannot be with their loved ones, and therefore this is usually a time for reflection and sharing a special thought or a fond memory.
For me, I am very much looking forward to spending some quality time with my family, my marvellous mother-in-law will be cooking Christmas dinner and we will all sit around the table with beaming smiles until someone suggests ‘More Sprouts Anyone?’
And so in the last few days before the big day, I will be clearing the decks of the accumulated paperwork, changing my answer machine accordingly then moving onto an Emergency Childcare Service for those that may need unexpected cover.
I would like to wish you all a warm and wonderful Christmas. Be safe and happy wherever you are.
Ho!Ho!Ho! Merry Christmas! And Cheers!
