Kids Deserve the Best and Why.......
Posted on 01 December 2011
Kids Deserve the Best began on 1st December 2008 because there was a need for a continuation of service after the sad demise of a reputable North East Nanny Agency.
So what next for me?? Find a new job, but doing what? I loved my job - working with families and the nannies, it is the job in which I have felt most happy, especially when I am able to give someone good news. I was then faced with the prospect of having to explain to the families and nannies I was working with that the support was no longer available..... Definitely not feeling comfortable with giving disappointing news without a solution, this led to the best option for everyone – taking the business on and running it in my way as my own venture!
What a result - the perfect job for me and a continuation of support for those that need it, being able to do things my way, being as helpful as I wanted to be and going that extra mile to provide families and nannies across the North East with the advice and support to suit.
Hello and Welcome to Kids Deserve the Best!!!
However, I wanted things to be different. I wanted to be able to help with any family needs, ranging from finding the perfect Nanny, helping with interview questions, offering support with Nanny contracts, Ofsted Registration advice, providing Emergency Childcare and babysitting services as well as growing the Wedding Day Childcare services.
In addition, support for nannies was going to be improved, better flexibility over meeting times and meeting places, CV and interview support, sourcing of any training needs, such as first aid and common core skills.
I also wanted Kids Deserve the Best to link with and work with other child and friendly businesses, supporting each other and I am delighted to say I have met some fabulous people through various Network groups, attendance of business exhibitions and through social media.
Now three completed years later, I am delighted to see that a number of families and nannies are contacting Kids Deserve the Best because they have been recommended to do so by someone else. A word of mouth recommendation means a lot to me and really makes me smile – it also tells me I must be doing something right!
