Hello and Welcome to our Kids Deserve the Best Blog. The purpose of the our KDTB Blog page is to keep you informed of what we are doing, any news and special events, or just general things which you may find of interest. Sarah will be updating regularly, and we hope to have useful articles from some of the local companies which Kids Deserve the Best are working with.
I hope you will find these updates useful and maybe some might make you smile.
Half term is approaching and for those who are off school, it is a chance to have a rest and a break from the school routine, those that have preschool ages and younger it can be daunting, a week with no activities! We have put together a few ideas of things going on in and around Dulwich to keep those little ones (and you) entertained!

Sometimes we never can tell where a journey is going to take us. How do we know if what we are doing is the right way to achieve the best results? Was this the time when working with people took on a new meaning for me? The journey continues....

It is almost that time of year again where Santa is looking to see who has been good and who has not been good enough. So with the help of Santa's little helpers, children have the chance to visit one of the helpers and tell Santa how good they have been.

Being a Professional Nanny is a real career choice! This is most certainly NOT the same as being a babysitter or an Au Pair!
Every year the care, support and work of nannies around the UK is recognised at Nanny Week where nannies from all areas have the opportunity to take part in a variety of events, gatherings, activities with the small people they look after.

Working WITH people and supporting others is something we at Kids Deserve the Best like to do. Through recent years we have met, worked with, supported and advised so many lovely people. Long may this continue….. Today we are pleased to share with you another lovely person we have met recently and we hope to be able to encourage a long and happy working relationship.
Introducing Jill Santonastaso who owns Daisy First Aid Newcastle and South Northumberland.
Awwww….. our new baby has come home… OMG! Now what do we do? ….. Let’s look at the instructions….. Yikes…. THERE ARE NO INSTRUCTIONS!!!
Working WITH people has got to be a great way forward. Especially when these people are working towards the same aims! It is only natural therefore that The Association of Nanny Agencies (ANA) should work alongside The British Association for Professional Nannies (BAPN)!
Being a parent is one of the best things ever… the creation of a small person who will rely on you to care for them, to love and nurture them, to guide, encourage and support them in the right direction to grow up to be the best person they can ever be! As parents we make decisions which hopefully will be good ones in all manner of aspects of daily life. We trust our instincts and do the very best we can with the resources available to us.
But what about when parents HAVE to return to work?
Choosing to be a Nanny is one of the most rewarding professional career choices a person can have…... A Nanny should have a natural instinct to nurture, support, guide, and help encourage children to learn new things to develop their skills and reach important milestones. A Nanny will also play a big part in being an exemplary role model for the children to learn from in developing social skills, manners, respect, preparing the children for nursery and school environment.
Well what can I say…..sometimes I even amaze myself! And no I am not talking about the contents of my handbag this time!
After a very long time and for the first time I actually accepted for myself that yes…. People DO like what I do, they DO value my advice and support, I AM bright and knowledgeable and you know what……. I ACCEPT THIS!
